ICON started in 2021 with our Community Coffee House in Surbiton. A small and welcoming space that was built around local connections. As the company grew, so did the expansion of locations, introducing ICON’s Coffee & Brunch Surbiton. The first cafe with a full kitchen, allowing us to serve scrumptious brunch dishes alongside our speciality coffee.

Fast forward to 2025, and we expanded again with Matcha Kingston, a modern takeaway concept that focused on matcha drinks and healthy bites.

The local residents of Surbiton and Kingston keep our company thriving. It was our first location, the Community Coffee House in Surbiton, that started it all.
What began in the middle of the pandemic was a vision of community coffee in Surbiton. Providing the best possible products with the best possible service. The idea was to create an environment and space that felt welcoming to anyone and everyone.

In a big city like London, community is important, and many bonding experiences form over a good cup of coffee.

The Coffee & Brunch shop was created to bring Surbitionians an elevated coffee experience. All of the above offerings partnered up with exceptional service in the prettiest of venues.
Some of our customers would go as far as to say that we’re one of the best brunch spots in London to try out.

Matcha has fast become a popular alternative to those who want the benefits of caffeine – but without the caffeine.
We wanted to create matcha drinks that looked pretty but didn’t compromise on flavour. And with that, Matcha at ICON was born.

We’ll soon by opening a takeaway shop in Kingston Town Centre, and are looking forward to welcoming you there!

Had the most incredible family breakfast/brunch at Icon, having only just visited 4 days ago for the first time! We loved it so much, that we came back as a family on Sunday and it was just the most impeccable service. Everyone from staff to owner to chefs were absolutely brilliant. I even influenced both my parents to try the French toast I ordered for the second time! The best brunch cafe in my opinion. We were seated at such a beautiful booth in the cafe, and were so incredibly looked after. The staff are really attentive, always polite and kind, checking in with us but never making us feel rushed to leave at all when we were finished with our meal and just chatting. The owner is such a lovely gentleman who actually takes the time to get to know and chat to his customers. You get a real sense that people come back to this cafe and are regular visitors which gives it such a nice little community feel! Thank you again, your service is truly outstanding!

The food was quite pricey. The porridge was overly sweet and the taste of the matcha energy smoothie was mainly overtaken by the apple juice which was a shame as I love kale, spinach and matcha. The cold brew was ok. Other than that I loved the atmosphere, it's a very cute place to have brunch.

Cannot recommend Icon and its staff enough for their kindness and hospitality! I know reviews go a long way in this industry, and wanted to share just how incredible the team were. We celebrated my sweet mother’s birthday and the team went above and beyond to make the occasion so special. Their customer service was the best we’ve ever come across in hospitality and dining. The manager came and chatted with us, and it was so lovely getting to learn about how the business came to be. We’re so excited to continue coming back to our new favourite brunch cafe! The food was absolutely incredible (their French toast is the best I’ve ever had in my life!). Their menu is truly brilliant. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or even just a coffee date. Nice place and is aesthetically pleasing. However, the coffee is weak (far too milky for a flat white) and the cookies are way overpriced @£3.50 a go.
